Greetings of peace and love to you all.
Suicide, Suicide, Suicide! This evil thought rings true in people’s lives daily when the burdens of life become so overwhelming. But suicide, divorce, alcoholism, drug abuse, isn’t the answer to the sort of problems that arise from life's calamities either. Let’s take a look at what Allah (God) and the prophets have said about this bad problem of life: (1) Did not Jesus Christ clearly state to the people of Israel and the world at large, do not worry about where your next meal will come from? Do not worry about shelter, etc., etc. Now, in the Hebrew and Jewish scriptures Christ did not spell out a step-by-step solution, instead he stated, Yahweh (God) will take care of your problems for all who have faith in Him. The Holy Quran, the Muslim’s holy book, states that Allah (God) is closer to us than our jugular vein. God’s help for us is there, but what causes man to doubt God and His promises for us to have abundant life? Well, the answer is quite simple and clear, Demons! Satan’s little spiritual air devils. For the Muslims who strive to make their salah (daily ritual prayer), the demon Khanzab is not far away. In the Judeo-Christian faith this demon is known by the name Beelzebub (the doubter), not to be confused with the head of evil in the spiritual realm, Satan. Once the evil minor demons enter your psyche, casting doubt in your mind, it’s extremely hard to recover and proceed with life as Allah (God) wants you to enjoy. That’s why you must pray continuously, not asking God for what you want but asking Him for what you need! And through sincerity He will come through for you, and your family as well. Another thing, many of you don’t use the “gifts” that Allah (God) has given you. Please move your confidence bar up a notch and put your God gifts to use in a righteous way, and you will see your life turn around for the better. Don’t forget, the prophet Abraham was willing to sacrifice the life of his son for higher blessing for his family, friends, community and nation (Israel), before Allah (God) intervened to stop the sacrifice, as He (God) knew and saw that Abraham was ready, willing, and able to carry out the sacrifice as ordered by God, and he, his wife Sarah and their offspring were blessed favorably. For all of you who are drug and alcohol abusers, shake it off yourself, or go to A & D counseling if you have to, but I want you to think about this; drugs are for a fool, a party (gathering with family and friends without intoxicants) will keep you cool (spiritual smile). Now, I want all of you to ponder on this:
SOULS BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE BODY
Know about the time when there were souls and no bodies. This was a time of a few years, but each of those years were equal to one of our millennia. The souls were all arrayed in a line. The world was presented to their sight. Nine out of ten of the souls ran toward it. Then paradise was presented to the remaining souls, out of these, nine out of ten ran toward it. Then, hell was shown o the souls that remained, nine out of ten of them ran away from it in terror. Then there were only a few souls, those were affected by nothing at all. They had not been attracted by the earth or by paradise, nor had they feared hell. The celestial voice spoke to these survivors saying; “Idiot souls, what is it that you want?” The souls answered in unison, "you who knows all knows that it is you whom we desire, and that we do not desire to leave your presence”. The voice said to them; “desire of us is perilous causes hardship and innumerable perils. The souls answered him, “We will gladly experience anything for the sake of being with you, and lose everything in order that we may gain everything.
”**Attributed to Sufi Master, Ilahi Nama**
There is no reason to ever give up on life. Circumstances that seem to justify death may close in upon you at times. But always choose life over death. May all of you stay safe until we meet again.

Surah 23: The Believers, verses 1-11. The Holy Qur'an
(Translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali)
1. The believers must (eventually) win through,-
2. Those who humble themselves in their prayers;
3. Who avoid vain talk;
4. Who are active in deeds of charity;
5. Who abstain from sex,
6. Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame,
7. But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;-
8. Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants;
9. And who (strictly) guard their prayers;-
10. These will be the heirs,
11. Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever).
